T. Jayaraman (or TeeJay as he is better known), the prime mover behind this concept, is a graduate of IITM-Chennai having completed his B.Tech in 1974.

Completing his graduation immediately after the oil-shock of 1973, he realised the potential of energy conservation and dedicated himself to that field.

After serving in various companies, he became an Energy conservation specialist & consultant and has conducted energy audits all over India, with clients ranging from Johnson and Johnson, to ITC. Sectors he has been involved range from Paper to Pharmacy.

He has visited Japan, China, Indonesia, USA, Singapore, Malaysia, and Saudi Arabia in connection with energy conservation and LED development.  He has also presented number of papers in National and international seminars.

In 1991, he promoted SECO Controls Pvt. Ltd, a company dedicated to controls.  He developed the knowhow for High temperature Oxygen analysers, and as on date the only Indian Manufacturer of the High temperature oxygen analyser.  SECO holds near monopoly in this Item with NTPC, APSEB, HPCL to name a few.

TeeJay is also working on many other areas of energy conservation, including combustion, passive architecture, Rural energy, wind, solar, heat recovery and HVAC.
